EPC contract signed for Uganda transmission, substation project

A consortium formed by China Machinery Engineering Corporation (CMEC), a subsidiary of Sinomach, and a local Ugandan company recently signed a general EPC contract for the 132kV Moroto-Katikekile transmission and substation project.

Upon completion, it will boost the power supply for industrial and mining companies in the eastern Moroto region and surrounding areas, meet the electricity needs of local industries and residents, and inject new impetus into regional economic growth.

Bid won for mineral project at Indonesia's IGIP Industrial Park

China Machinery Industry Construction Group Inc. (SINOCONST), a subsidiary of SINOMACH, recently won a bid for the acid-making circulating water plant and the electrical installation works of the temporary dam water intake section of the Indonesia IGIP mineral project.

The newly awarded electrical installation works are closely connected to the civil work previously awarded to the company, covering the core construction links of the entire mineral production process.

Once completed, the project will significantly improve the capacity of support facilities for local mineral development. It will lift the comprehensive utilization efficiency of mineral resources and boost the transformation and upgrading of the regional mining industry.

Contract signed for aluminum production line in Angola 

Recently, China CAMC Engineering Co., Ltd. (CAMCE), a subsidiary of Sinomach, signed a contract for Phase II of the Huatong electrolytic aluminum production line in Angola. 

The project aims to expand an electrolytic aluminum production line with an annual output of 120,000 tons. CAMCE Jiangsu will provide full-process services — including detailed designs, equipment procurement, installation and commissioning.

When put into full operation, the project will effectively support the quality upgrading of Angola's aluminum processing industry. It will improve the local industrialization system, inject new momentum into the development of the aluminum industry and supporting industrial chains in Angola and surrounding African countries.
